Lip Job

We had church in the morning and just hung out together the rest of the day. Sadly, Emi tripped running back to our pew (after visiting with her friend) and hit her lip pretty bad. Her lip has been all swollen. We hope she recovers quickly!

Being Productive

Image
Because it's quarter end, Marty had work today, and so Emi and I spent most of the day together! In the morning we ran lots of errands, in the afternoon we went to her friend Ronny's birthday party, and in the evening Marty picked us up and we went to Indo Curry. I saw this Cocomelon bubble wand at the store when Emi and I were running errands, and I couldn't help but get it for her. She loves it! Ronny's Birthday party at "Kid Strong"  Cake's the best part of every party, right? Marty and I did a deep clean and organized our fridge tonight . So so satisfying! I also got this organizer for our wrapping paper/ribbons/etc.

Emi Updates

Image
Here are some updates on Miss Emi: She loves "bummies" (bunnies)...especially eating her bummie crackers and looking for them on the way to the mailbox. Kitties say "me-mo," roosters say "cock a doodle doodle doodle doo" (give or take a few doodles depending on how she's feeling), and birds are "tweet tweets." In the car she has 3 song requests. It's either "bus" (Wheels on the Bus), "eieio" (Old MacDonald), or "sun" (Here Comes the Sun). When Emi goes down slides, she loves saying "Ready. Set. GO!" If we have oreos, she always requests "nope" (milk) to go with them. Emi counted to 5 twice today! Just out of the blue. If Emi likes something, she'll say "more more ___" and do the sign language "more" sign as she's talking.

Tiny Town

Image
Emi and I went with the Brown's to Tiny Town today. It was so cute!  Emi was excited about the tunnel and and she loved saying "choo choo" while doing the choo-choo train gesture with her arm.  She also loved trying Tiny Town's ice cream.  Isn't this such a sweet picture of Emi? She is so cute! Emi and Mom on the Train

Little Munchkins

Ronny and Jules joined Emi and I for the day while their mom was at girls camp. We played at the park, ate snacks, hung out in the backyard, ate more snacks, watched Paw Patrol, and made cookies!  This is what life with 3 children 4 and under would look like. (Probs to Alex for having 3 children 3 and under. You're amazing!)  Snack time

Goodbyes

Image
We hung out, packed up, and went to church in the morning. After we came back from church we ate lunch and then we headed out. Dave and Steph started their 2 week road trip adventure to Vegas and the rest of us headed to Philly for a very quick visit. By the time we got to Philly we had less than an hour and a half to explore. We dropped our bags at Courtney's apartment building (thank you, Courtney!) and walked as fast as we could around the city. My dad's a speed-walker, and lucky for us we've all been around him enough to have been prepared for this afternoon. We stopped at Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Reading Terminal Market, and Federal Donuts in record breaking time.  Ooops. Emi's face is covered up here! Check out Emi's silly face at the Liberty Bell! Then we dashed to the airport. Mom, Dad, and Bubs had a flight a few hours earlier than us, but we decided it'd just be easier to head with them to the airport than stay with Emi in the city.  Unfort

Lancaster, Hershey Park, and Graduation

Image
The family was kind enough to indulge me in going to Lancaster this morning for pretzels. Kom-Essa has the best soft pretzels ever. The sour cream one is to die for. Dave and Steph have a pastry shop they love in there as well...so naturally we had to get 18 pretzels and a whole slew of desserts. Emi loved her "pink oreo" (aka macaron).  Look closely to see Emi's macron in her hand...it's the same color as her romper! We headed straight from Lancaster to Hershey Park and spent the day there. Emi loved going on the rides! In the afternoon we headed back to the Airbnb to let the kids nap while the rest of us showered and got ready for Dave's graduation dinner.  Before long it was time to head towards Hershey. We took a quick stop at Chocolate World to experience the chocolate tour ride one last time and then rushed off to Dave's graduation celebration. The celebration was at Hotel Hershey in one of their ballrooms. They had a slideshow at the front of the room h

Frontier Report and Jonestown

Image
We had a super early flight this morning. It got moved up 5 hours from the original takeoff time when we booked the flight haha. I guess that's what you get for booking with Frontier!  I know I'm a wimp haha but this is our first time flying Frontier and it just feels kind of grungy. They are always trying to sell you extra add-ons and it feels very cheap...which it is. It made sense for us to take Frontier to Philly because it was half the price of any other airline and they had a direct flight. The actual flight went fine and was on time (!). Marty and I were sitting in different parts of the plane (you had to pay extra to move your seat anywhere in the plane--forward or backward) so we just took turns with Emi.  After the flight, my Dad picked us up from the airport and we started making our way to Ephrata, ~2 hours away. We stopped at Smashburger and then headed to "Fox Meadow Creamery" to meet up with the fam. By the time we made it to the creamery it was late af

Recovery

I got home from girls camp late last night! This morning I tried to get some girls camp things taken care of while I had Angela's help. Just after lunch she headed to the airport, and then we spent the rest of the day gearing up for our trip tomorrow.

Grammy and Papa Quality Time

Here is what Emi and Marty were up to this week while I was at girls camp! Thanks Grammy and Papa for making Emi's week so special. Uncle Nick came out for an evening too!
