Pickleball

Before Emi was born, my friend Brindy W. invited me to come play pickle ball at the Stake Center in HR. I've gone sporadically mostly because when Emi is sleeping during pickle ball time I don't want to wake her up. Well the stars aligned today and we got to go! I always have a good time even though I'm terrible at pickle ball. I am the worst player there by far.haha. Literally you could ask anyone who was the worst and if they were being honest they would all say my name.haha...but everyone is so patient with me which I appreciate. Today I lost every game, even though I had good teammates, but it was still fun:) Some of the moms there bring their little ones so they hung out with Emi while I played. I am grateful for any opportunity Emi has to be around other kids or babies! 

The best part of today may have been that Emi took an almost 2 hour nap. It was so nice having time to clean up around the apartment! We also talked with grandma and grandpa during the day, and Emi face planted mid-FaceTime right by the couch leaving her with a swollen lip. Poor girl looks like she has a lip job on one side of her lips! 

Emi and I also went to the park and she got to swing on the swings for a little. She loves the swings! Then we came home and started dinner. Tonight we had cheese enchiladas and artichokes. It was so yummy! After dinner Emi and I headed to Bunco (they've been asking that she come!). Bunco had a small turnout but I still had a good time regardless. Emi was also a champ for staying up an hour and a half past her bedtime.

Nick's Fish House

We went to the breakfast buffet at the Fairmont in the morning. My favorite part is loading my plate with all the yummy fruit they have. (Papaya and Hawaii just go together.) Emi loves clenching her fists and making a funny, strained face. haha. We took a walk down to the beach before heading to Twin Falls. It was pouring rain when we got out of the car at the start of the hike, and I wondered what the rest of the hike was going to look like, but it ended clearing up at just the right times. I love how Emi has curls in Hawaii. On our way back we stopped at some food trucks and came back to relax before dinner time. For dinner we went to Nick's Fish House. This place is special to Marty and I because it's where we got engaged (and their Macadamia Nut brownies are top notch which adds to the special-ness). In the evening we went back to our hotel room and watched an episode of "The Floor" before heading to bed.

Many Oopses

This morning Emi and I headed to Home Depot to get our fridge ordered. Marty and I really had 2 fridges we liked, and so I tried calling my mom because she's the cooking queen and would be able to help me make a decision...but she didn't answer. Darn it different time zones! So I made the decision. I hope we like it! Then we stopped at the car shop on the way home. Yesterday my car started just being super bumpy on the freeway and something seemed wrong. When we showed up at the shop, there were all these husky guys that you might imagine at a car shop, but when they saw Emi they became these big marshmallows. They were all telling me about their kids and it was so cute.  Turns out there is something wrong with my car, and so I have an appointment to get it fixed on Friday. Last day in Paris

We scheduled a tour for St. Chapelle, Conciergerie, and the outside of the Notre Dame for this morning. I mostly just wanted to see St. Chapelle, but because we've been so busy seeing other things, when I went to get tickets on their website they were sold out. Luckily I found a tour through "Get Your Guide" that we could do that would take us through the chapel this morning. Marty and I arrived for our tour this morning and started making our way to St. Chapelle as a tour group when we found out that the employees of St. Chapelle were on strike so nobody would be seeing St. Chapelle for the day. It was a bummer, but strikes are very common in Paris. Really we just lucked out getting to experience an important part of their culture ;) With our tour canceled, we made our way to Sacre Coeur and Montmartre. The basilica reminded me a lot of the pretty churches in Jerusalem. The one thing Marty and I found odd was that there were signs all over inside the chapel asking guests
