Anniversary
Today Marty and I celebrated our 3rd Year Anniversary. We both agreed we'd do something small this year because we have Japan coming up. Marty came home for lunch and we made waffles together, and then in the evening we drove past our house and went to an ice cream shop. Sweet and simple.
Call me cheesy haha but today I've been thinking a lot about how it's important in a marriage to choose each other. When Marty and I were thinking about getting married, I prayed and wanted to know whether he was "the one." I prayed, and I essentially felt like God was leaving decision was up to me. Marty had many qualities I wanted in a husband (and some bonus ones that I didn't even know I wanted until I met him) and could make me happy but it was up to me to decide. I decided to choose him...and I'm so grateful I did.
What I didn't realize, though, is how important it is to choose each other again and again in a marriage.
Choose to see past disagreements. Choose to forgive. Choose to put each other first. Choose to see the good in each other. Choose to love each other.
Love you forever boy!
