9 months in, 9 months out

Emi is 9 months today! This was the first pediatrician appointment where she didn't have to have shots which makes for a happy mama and baby. She enjoyed sucking on her toes throughout her appointment, and I enjoyed getting to hear her different percentiles. As usual...big head and small body. Which I think makes her so cute and perfect. 


The doctor also said we can let Emi practice drinking out of cups. We gave her a sippy cup today and it is so. cute. watching her drink out of one.

In the evening I went to bunco which is always fun. I had the most buncos but also the most losses. Funny how things work sometimes!

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year. Baby #2

 And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
