A Blur

To be honest this day is a blur. Jet lag is real. 

The boys went to golf this afternoon and Angela, Emi, and I had Porcupine Grill take out with fresh squeezed Harmon's OJ (my favorite). It was fun just talking and hanging out. 

When the boys came home, I was surprised to find that Marty had won! He says he's not good at golf, but now I don't know if I can believe him. 

Then we ate Marty's favorite cake his mom makes and sang him an Happy Birthday. Afterwards Dan, Angela, Marty and I finished season 3 of Ted Lasso. Dan and Angela introduced us to the show, so it was tender that we watched the first episodes with them and the last one. We all liked the ending.

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year. Baby #2

 And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
