House and Cello

It's been a crazy busy Saturday for us! In the morning I had running club and then the bulk of the day we spent at the new house. There is more work that needs to be done than we anticipated so it seems we'll be busy for the foreseeable future. We ordered a dishwasher, washer, and dryer and grabbed a few random items from Home Depot. Marty also had the good idea to get plug in scents from Bath and Body Works to mask the pee smell for the time being.

After a busy day of house work we rushed off to a cello concert hosted by someone in our ward. It was refreshing to hear beautiful music and have a fun event to go to!

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year. It's been a rewarding experience.  I started weight training for the first time in my life and discovered that I really loved it. Last December, HR closed their rec center childcare and I was crushed because that meant I could no longer go to their daytime classes. I thought nothing could compare to those classes.  And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
