House and Date Night

Marty:

A week has passed and we've planned somewhere between 30-40k worth of furniture buying and home improvement projects. It seems like a ridiculous amount. Most of that will be getting new carpets and flooring for the whole house but there's also things like getting can lights in the bedrooms and knocking down the half wall in the living room. We're also gonna get a nice sectional. If we're going all in on this house, we might as well get some good furniture as well.

We planned on spending the whole day at the house but of course, didn't make it over there until 1 o clock. (We had to leave by 3:30 to get ready for the babysitter and date night.) The delay was due to a 2 hour nap by Emi, which we also had the privilege of participating in. We also stopped at Torchy's on the way over. I swear I could eat there 3 times a week and not get sick of that place.

We installed a motion sensor light in the coat closet. Now when you open the closet door, a small light turns on. Yay! After that, Lizzie worked on the linen closet and I worked on getting the ethernet sent up to the office. Emi provided moral support. We brought the jolly jumper for her to play in but she kept running into the walls. It's so sad when she starts to cry but call me a terrible father, it's also really really funny sometimes as well.

Later that day, our babysitter came over again and Lizzie and I finally made it to our date at Fogo de Chao - the food was Delicious! And I definitely ate enough for both of us. Fast Sunday isn't for another week but I probably won't need to eat again until dinner that night! We think this is the first time that we've been to a restaurant just the two of us since we went to Sushi Den the week after Emi was born. It was so nice to just have a good meal together. Love you Liz!
