Marty's Birthday

Marty day! I'm so grateful for my best friend. One thing I love about Marty is his sense of humor. He always says the wittiest things and keeps me laughing. Another thing I love about Marty is how he sees the best in others and always has good things to say about those around him. He is the best husband and the best dad.

An epic fail: the second ugliest cake I've ever made. I titled it "The Snickerdoodle Island." I added the crumbs after I decided there was no hope. I also texted Bubs and she was also able to appreciate how ugly it was hahah

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year. It's been a rewarding experience.  I started weight training for the first time in my life and discovered that I really loved it. Last December, HR closed their rec center childcare and I was crushed because that meant I could no longer go to their daytime classes. I thought nothing could compare to those classes.  And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
