Carpet and Washer/Dryer

I was so worried about Emi sleeping okay in our new place--but turns out it's not her I should've been worried about. She slept great! Marty and I not so much...

Carpet went in today! And our washer and dryer finally got delivered! It finally feels like our house is livable.

Look at the plush carpet! Marty wanted soft carpet and I have to admit it makes a huge difference.

Because we had difficulties with our lvp stairs and they won't get parts in until August sometime, the flooring company put carpet on all our stairs in the meantime. I'm not gonna lie...the carpet feels really nice! I'm wondering if we should just have them keep it on some of the stairs? Time will tell. 

Aldo and Thomas got here this evening! They came to spend the rest of the week with Marty.

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year.  And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
