Free Stuff

Marty took my car in this morning (the car shop is conveniently across the street from his office) and so Emi and I chilled at home most of the day! 

When Marty brought my car home he told me that they didn't charge him for the repairs. They realigned the tires and apparently one of my wheels had tar on it so they scraped that off. Since when do you come home from a car repair shop with no charge?!

In the afternoon Emi and I ran some errands and then I chatted with Kana. She is working at for the US Consulate in Okinawa and it sounds like they are keeping her very busy! 

For dinner we ran to Capriotti's Sandwich Shop. They gave us a free coupon for a sandwich since they took a little bit of time to make our order. It honestly didn't feel like we waited very long but they insisted we take the free coupon. Again, when does that ever happen? I guess today's our lucky day!

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. Baby #2

 And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
