Grandma and Grandpa are here!

Today Grandma, Grandpa, and Kershaw arrived! They have come to help us get settled in our new place and we are so excited to have them:) 

They got here in the early afternoon and we went right to work. Dan had work things to take care of, and Angela and I started talking through different projects that Marty and I have been wanting to get done. We decided to start focusing our efforts on the pantry (I've been postponing this project so that Angela and I could work on this together. She is a master organizer so I've been very excited!)

Did we start taking stuff out and then put it all back in for a "before" picture? Yes. Yes we did:)

Pretty soon the day had a escaped us and it was dinner time. We met Marty and Dan at Cheesecake Factory for dinner. It was delicious--also having grandparents help take care of Emi while we eat has been amazing! 

The evening consisted of more organization (for Angela and I) and other house work projects (for Dan and Marty).

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year.  And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
