Light

In the morning Sorin came to install cans in our living room and a new light fixture over our kitchen table. I'm so happy with how it's looking! and the fact that we now have light in our living room! (in every future home/apartment we live in I will make sure--before living there--that there are light fixtures in each room haha)

Here it is! Now I need to figure out how to get the ceiling patched...

I had Japanese tutoring in the afternoon. It was fun getting to see my teacher and practice Japanese but I don't have the bandwidth to continue tutoring right now. It's been something I've really enjoyed, but for now I'm going to focus my efforts on getting settled in our new place! 

In the evening we went couch shopping...we're looking for a sectional for our living room. Marty and I couldn't agree on which couch we wanted, so we're going to keep looking! Emi was also being a bit crazy which added more stress to the situation.

Marty and I both liked the look of this ottoman/table but unfortunately it was hard as a rock.

In the evening we had a ward softball practice game (there's a Stake softball activity on Saturday) that we went to briefly, and then headed home for the night.

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year. Baby #2

 And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
