The Book Thief

Someone is 11 months today! We love Miss Emi Rose so much. She loves her binky, eating solid foods, and making cute angry scowls. She makes us so happy.

How do we have an almost 1 year old?!

I've been meaning to make Alex's yummy orange poppyseed bread for awhile now (since Thanksgiving haha) and finally decided this was the week! Welp. It flopped. haha. It turned out to be hard as rocks when it cooled (not kidding) but while it was cooling Emi and I were able to grab a couple pieces and we both approved of the taste.

They sunk bad haha

Behold the brick.

Our workers, Nick, Anthony, and their assistant, came and started the patching process for our walls. They agreed they'd have the walls done by Thursday when our new patio door is getting put in! These guys have done so much work for us and we are so grateful.

No more holes! Now I don't have to be paranoid about mice haha.


During nap time, I was looking at Emi's monitor somehow she'd managed to grab books through the bars of her crib.

Emi and I went on a walk with Katye and Easton in the afternoon and we came home to this :)

Our lawn looks amazing. Thanks Marty!

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year. Baby #2

 And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
