Stake Conference...Kinda

We headed over to the church building to watch Stake Conference get broadcasted in the morning. The video kept buffering (just learned that term from Marty), and it got to the point where we were all not quite sure what to do. Some people were leaving and some were just hanging tight. Eventually, someone got up and said that there were some seats empty at the Stake Center but another church building was also having similar issues with the broadcast. So we decided just to call it and head home. Marty was pretty beat up about it ;)

We sat in the very last row. haha. Life with a child.

The rest of the day was very chill and relaxing. We decided a few weeks ago that we'd reserve this Sunday just for our family and turn down any other offers to do things (except game night with Peter and Alex). We've just had something every Sunday and it's been really fun, but it's also important to have downtime.

For dinner we made Indo curry and naan and after we put Emi down we played Dominion with Peter and Alex. I also can't forget that it was the Cowboy's game tonight! They played amazing and beat the Giants 40-0.

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year.  And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
