The Beginning of the End

Today was the first day of the last big project we have planned for the house for awhile (hopefully)...painting! We're getting the living room, kitchen, loft, and baseboards painted throughout the house.

These next few months we have quite a few birthdays...one of those being Grandma Shaeffer's birthday today. Something that I love about my mother in law is that she is able to jump into any sort of situation and make things happen. I saw this most recently when she was helping with house projects that she could dive into any project and break it into manageable pieces to get it done. I've also seen that no matter who she's with she can find commonality with them and create friendships.

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year.  And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
