Fall

This morning we had music class, and then headed to lunch at Modern Eatery with some of the moms and kids from music afterwards. (It was really yummy and gave me Aubergine vibes.) I loved getting to socialize and try a new place to eat.

In the evening we met Dad for Torchy's and then came home and went for a walk together. The leaves are just so pretty right now. And it was fun getting to see all the cute Halloween decorations. (When I was little, my mom would always take us on walks and point out festive decorations... so our walk today brought back good memories.)

Marty got Emi for bed while I went to the movie theater to grab popcorn, and then after I got home Marty and I had a little at home date night. We watched Coco together:)

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year. It's been a rewarding experience.  I started weight training for the first time in my life and discovered that I really loved it. Last December, HR closed their rec center childcare and I was crushed because that meant I could no longer go to their daytime classes. I thought nothing could compare to those classes.  And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
