General Conference

These past two days we've had General Conference. Normally, I don't necessarily look forward to listening to conference for hours on end--trying to listen to all the messages, trying to not feel too guilty when I fall asleep, and feeling overwhelmed with all that I need to change in my own life. 

This conference was different however. 

I came into conference this year seeking for answers and to feel more peace and hope in my life. I came out of conference feeling more peace, hope, and encouragement. And I also feel like I was reminded of my testimony and that I really do believe that following Jesus Christ is what brings happiness into my life. I'm grateful for these pick-me-ups that keep me going and remind me how blessed I am.

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year. Baby #2

 And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
