Grateful

Emi was coughing a bunch last night and had a bunch of congestion so we opted to stay home from our usual activities. By the end of the day, I think Emi and I were both a bit stir crazy. After dinner, Marty suggested he take Emi for a drive while I pack for NY and have some time alone. When he came back, he had a Krispy Kreme donut in hand and took Emi upstairs to give her a bath. It meant so much to me. Feeling grateful for a perceptive husband!

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year. It's been a rewarding experience.  I started weight training for the first time in my life and discovered that I really loved it.  And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
