Chatham Holiday Party
Marty and I went for a run this morning and there was a playground at our turn around point, so we let Emi out to play. The playground is brand new (and really close to us!) and super fun. We'll have to go back again.
In the afternoon, Marty watched Emi so I could go to a Nutcracker performance of a girl in our ward. She did a great job and I was impressed with the technique at her dance studio. As I watched the performance I couldn't help but wonder--what sorts of things will Emi be into when she's older? I'm excited to get to support her in her different hobbies!
In the evening, Marty and I headed out to Chatham's Holiday Party while Emi stayed home with a babysitter. Marty and I expected there to be dinner at the event, so we were surprised to just find Hors D'oeuvres. But we capitalized on what food they did have by sampling all the Hors D'oeuvres (multiple times). I also learned at the party that one of Marty's coworkers' wives was with me in the El Ed program at BYU and interned in Jordan School District the same year I did. And has a kiddo just about Emi's age. And lives 3 minutes from us. Small world!
The photo booth made us look like ghosties. haha. |
