Violin Phobia

Emi's violin-phobia is not going away. We've tried to expose her to the violin multiple times and she just has a complete meltdown no matter what we do. I first I thought it was funny, but now I'm at a loss of what to do!

Yes, I've googled suggestions. And google always has answers, right?? Nope, not for this issue. 

Marty and I went to Becky T.'s home to practice our musical number for this upcoming Sunday. Her girls, that I mentioned in my post yesterday (Kendall and Kyle), were so excited to get to play with Emi while we practiced. Welp. Emi screamed and cried the whole time, and held on tightly to my legs. No matter what the girls did to help her be happy it didn't work. And then cute Kyle (she's almost 5) started crying because she couldn't comfort Emi. I left their house feeling so bad. Uhhh. I really, really hope she grows out of this.

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year.  And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
