Valentine's Day!
I love Valentine's Day. We got lucky this year because Marty got the day off of work to study for his big test tomorrow (Step 3 of the CFA).
In the morning we exchanged gifts. Emi and I gave Marty a pottery plate we painted, and Marty gave us See's chocolates (I'm saying "us" because Emi definitely ate some haha). Marty and I also gave each other cards. I love getting cards from Marty because he's a good writer and always writes something cute and witty in them.
Then Emi and I headed to the gym. She did really well today at the childcare, and the employees seemed to appreciate the gift bags we made them. After the gym we rushed back, ate lunch, and headed out to decorate Valentine's cookies with some friends. It was so fun.
And then we came home for a very late nap time. Emi only slept a half hour (maybe it was a good thing because we had a lot to do today) and when she woke up we headed to our nail appointment a little bit early ( I've decided I'm going to take all the girls in our family for a pedicure before Hawaii each year). Marty came along to help hold her while she got her fingers and toes painted. Emi did great, and as soon as she was done Marty took her home while I finished up with my pedicure.
Emi's fingernail polish was off by the end of the day haha. |

Then I swung by on my way home and grabbed Emi to come with me and Mindi H. to finish delivering Valentine's gift bags for the girls in our YWs class. Then right after we finished, we picked up Marty and grabbed Cafe Rio for dinner. And pretty soon after the missionaries were at our house for a lesson. After they left we put Emi to bed, and started getting the house ready for Hawaii tomorrow up until bedtime.
What a Valentine's Day! It felt like we were running places all day. But it was good to have a day filled with so many fun things with the people I love.
