CDG-> Loire Valley

We landed at 8 am France time, went through customs (super easy!), and then headed to the rental car place. It took a bit, but as soon as we got our car we started making our way to the Loire Valley--about 3 hours away. (Marty was a champ for driving after a flight where we didn't really sleep.)

On our drive we saw lots of these funny looking trees. Marty said they could've been out of a Dr. Seuss book.

We arrived at our charming Chateaux (Les hauts de Loire) and we were both exhausted.

The Chateaux (It kind of looks like Marty's parents house. haha.)

The Carriage House and Bistro.

After a several hour nap haha we headed to the Bistro on our hotel's property for dinner. We were the only ones there when we arrived because we had a 7:15 reservation, and that's early for dinner in France (from what I gather).  It was yummy! I had chicken cooked to perfection and Marty had fish. We also tried a floating island and lemon meringue for dessert.

Isn't the presentation so beautiful?

We had a friend join us for dinner.

We then walked back to the chateaux and attempted to go bed for the night.
