At Home

It was my turn to get the cough/sore throat/congestion sickness that we've all been getting, so we spent the day at home as family. It was a bummer because we were supposed to be having friends over for a Cinco De Mayo party, but we didn't want to get everyone sick.

We took a little trip to the park during the day, and Emi was content as can be eating fruit snacks and wandering around. When did our little baby turn into a toddler?

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year.  And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
