Podium and Palmyra

We spent the morning at the race track. The mechanics got Nick's car all fixed so he was ready to go this morning! He ended up placing 3rd. Yay, Nick!

We met for breakfast after the race, and then it was time for Courtney, Michael, and Chris to go home.



The rest of us headed to Palmyra. I was excited to find that it was only an hour so from where we were at, and everyone agreed to go.
This is a view that was in my memory from over 10 years ago. I think it's so beautiful how you can see the Palmyra temple from the Sacred Grove (or vice versa).

Emi and Grammy at the Hill Cumorah. It looked so different from when I was here before! They took out the regular grass, and put in natural vegetation.  


After our short excursion, we headed back towards the airport and then made our way home to Denver.

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year. Baby #2

 And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
