Random

I was able to get a workout in this morning before having my friend's kids over for a few hours. I decided to let the kids play with the water table (there was 4 of them including Emi) and they all got soaked.  I ended up putting 3 year old Bowen in some of Emi's 3T pajamas I bought for her next year (so he wouldn't have to wear his soaking clothes)...and of course they were extra girly. But Bowen didn't seem to mind haha. He also just started potty training so I was nervous about how that would all go, but he did great.

In the evening we had Melissa S. over from our ward. She has been traveling all over the world and so we got to hear about some of her amazing travels and catch up. We have a fun connection with her because she lived in Japan for several years.

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year. It's been a rewarding experience.  I started weight training for the first time in my life and discovered that I really loved it. Last December, HR closed their rec center childcare and I was crushed because that meant I could no longer go to their daytime classes. I thought nothing could compare to those classes. Baby #2

 And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
