To-Dos

We were so productive today! In the morning, Marty and I deep cleaned the kitchen while Emi played with magna-tiles for the longest time. It's so interesting how children go through phases where they suddenly start liking or disliking a toy. It seems like just last week she wouldn't have cared to play with the tiles, but today they were her favorite thing.

While Marty studied for the GMAT during the day, Emi and I ran a bunch of errands. It felt so good to check off some of those to-dos that had been piling up.

In the evening we had Amanda and Logan D. over for dinner. We became friends with them in our old ward, and have kept in touch over the past year. They're such a fun couple, it's always good hanging out together.

2024. I didn't see you coming at all. This has been the wildest year. Hard, frustrating, discouraging, exciting, and hopeful. It's been a year of growth. At the beginning of the year Marty and I had been hoping to get pregnant for a few months and it wasn't panning out as expected. I figured I'd be pregnant within the first few months of the new year, but nope. God had other plans. I was called as YW President in January (a shock to everyone including me!) and that consumed a lot of my time and energy throughout the year.  And baby #2 is a... GIRL! Bring on the pink. Marty's not a huge fan of gender reveals...but I thought it'd be fun to do a little something. I ended up bringing pink donuts to YWs and surprising the girls. The girls gave me all the reactions I had hoped for ;)
