MN Labor Day Weekend

We got to spend the long weekend in Minnesota with family! We arrived on Saturday, and Mom had planned a birthday party that day for all the September and October Birthdays. We went bowling, picked up dinner at Boxcar Hippie (so yummy!), and came back to Peter and Alex's house for cinnamon caramel apple cupcakes and presents. Emi got a purse with her name on it and a choo choo train. She was very excited!

Saturday night was real rough. Emi didn't sleep much. I think it may have been one of her worst nights ever. haha. (Luckily we were able to take a nap during the day on Sunday.)

Sunday morning we went to church for baby Elizabeth's blessing (I took 0 pictures and I'm so bummed!). She cried through the whole thing! I felt so bad for Peter. After Peter finished the blessing, there was an audible laugh in the chapel. Sometimes things just don't go quite like you expect! During Sacrament Meeting, Peter and Alex got up and bore sweet testimonies.

Monday we went out to breakfast! We came back for a water fight, and then headed to Peter and Alex's ward picnic. It was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed playing at the park.

Emi and Rachie look so similar from behind! They are the same size, have the same hair color, and both have little curls.

In the afternoon my parents left, and in the evening we took the kids to a nice park nearby. After the kids went down to bed, Peter, Alex, Marty, and I played a "Harry Potter" board game. It was a total throwback (in the best kind of way) to the days we lived in Provo.

Isn't this quite the parade we have going on? 4 kids and 3 strollers! haha.

Marty and I were up early with Emi on Tuesday morning so we went for a walk. After everyone else woke up and after we had eaten breakfast, we went to Quarry Hill Nature Center. It was so cute and fun. We saw the biggest caterpillar!

Unfortunately this very hungry caterpillar does not turn into a beautiful butterfly...just a moth.

We came back home, ate lunch, and the kids went down for a nap while the adults hung out. After nap time we headed to the airport and then back home! I'm glad we were able to spend the weekend with our MN Family!
