The Everyday

  Emi met baby Atlas for the first time! He's so cute and has such a mild temperament.  Lots of Christmas puzzling. Marty enjoyed listening to his audiobook!

 Our parents (and Bubs) came out to Denver for Emi's dance recital and it was so special :) Marty had nose surgery just a few days before Emi's recital. Hence, the half smile. Emi and Julesy.

I wrote this near the beginning of December and never posted it. Everything changed so quickly after this was written! We talked with our doctor over Thanksgiving, and it looks like the next steps are cycles of IUI. The doctor confirmed I have PCOS and walked us through our results from our one-day-work-up. The HSG test showed that I have only one working fallopian tube (I should've asked more questions about this, but didn't think to ask anything in the moment), and so we'll do IUI cycles every time I ovulate on my right side (which will be confirmed by an ultrasound). After 3 cycles of IUI, we'll reevaluate if I'm not able to get pregnant, and then look into changing dosages/etc or possibly IVF. It's daunting. And I kind of just want to quit going to the fertility clinic altogether, but I'm worried that if we stop now that we'll just be postponing the inevitable.  So that's where we're at. We got to spend a whole week in Utah for Thanksgiving! I was initially worried that it might feel like a long trip since Marty and I are so used to weekend excursions, but the time flew by! We had a blast. Isaac reading to Emi. Isn't this so sweet? On Monday, November 25, we spent the day with the Shaeffers. Emi loved the Museum of Curiosity! Carousel! Carousel's are fun for adults too! Big cousin squeeze! Aunt Bubs teaching Emi and Isaac how to play the harp. Cousin Pic! My mom called before Thanksgiving to ask if she should get the cousins matching jammies...of course! It was so much fun! Marty beat me by 15 seconds grrr! Mom stayed home with all the munchkins (except Elizabeth). My mom accidentally pocket dialed me on our way home from the race and it sounded like complete mayhem. ha...

While we were in Utah, we were able to get everyone together for family pictures! They're cute. They're not my absolute favorite haha but I still like them :) My favorite picture. haha. Huck was hysterical because he wanted Steph, Emi was making sad noises and faces, and all the adults were dying of laughter! It was too good.
