Kind of Crazy. Kind of Exciting.

We have everything moved out of our apartment!    Emi had a surprise this morning! A crib! She's still going to sleep in the pack n play for a bit longer while we're waiting on furniture to be delivered, but exciting that she can try it out. I put Emi in long sleeves because it looked cloudy outside. Turned out that although it was cloudy it was still HOT.  Emi in her closet/bedroom for the last 10 months. I was feeling sentimental today because this is the place we took Emi home to when she was born. The Outlook Littleton will always have a special place in my heart. Miss Emi Rose

Dentist and The Outlook

This morning Marty and I had dentist appointments. The dentist's office is a 3 minute drive from our new place which is so nice! We had 10 minutes between when my appointment ended and Marty's started, which gave us the perfect amount of time to swap each other out (so there would always be someone with Emi) with driving time! Can't beat convenience.  The rest of the day consisted of (you guessed it) moving. We're getting close to being completely moved out of our apartment.  Our apartment I love this picture! This is the 4th place we've called home in the past 3 years. Boxes! Marty set up Emi's crib tonight.

At church this morning, there was a lady who was walking up to the stand to do a piano musical number, and in the silence Emi babbled her favorite word "Dada." It was hilarious, and some heads turned to see where the sound had come from. haha. After church we played outside in the kiddie pool and ate lunch. Missus puffers Ingi saying goodbye to missus before she headed off to NY Picnic outside In the afternoon Bubs headed to New York for her internship and Dave dropped me and Emi off at the airport. The Harrisburg airport is small and Emi and I had the perfect amount of time to check in our luggage and grab a bite to eat before taking off to Georgia. Emi did amazing on the flight, and several people commented about how well she did. One young girl told me "Your baby did quite well on the flight" as she left the airplane. It was cracking me up! Emi loved the Biscoff cookie In Atlanta the stars aligned and I was able to catch an earlier flight home...which proved to b

Lancaster

Bubs and I went for a run this morning...we were supposed to do 11 but just did 6 because the cold is getting passed around the house. Emi chatted and then napped in the stroller. Dave, Steph, Ingi, and Huck went to swim lessons.  Ingi and Emi After we all got home we headed out to Lancaster for the day. They have a market (similar to the one we went to in Philly 2 years ago) but it's a bit closer than going to the city. They also have some other yummy food places. Dave and Steph know all the good foods to get--Amish pretzels at the market, pastries at Barbaret, and arepas at Chella's. As I'm writing this I'm wishing that I had one of those sour cream pretzels to devour right now. They are sooo good. Barbaret Ingi liked the chocolate...she's a Rosen! Dave and Baby Huck The Rosen Clan Ingi poured the hot sauce all over Dave's arepa. I felt a little sweet revenge from all the teasing I endured in childhood ;)  In the afternoon we watched Strange World and hung out

In the morning while Emi napped, Bubs and I took Ingi for a walk. We had a lot of fun playing make-believe with her and getting to see her personality. She is a nature-loving girl! In the morning and afternoon we spent the afternoon at Dave and Steph's place. The girls played in the fort, painted the cutest picture frames, and played with the water table. One thing I admire about Steph's parenting is that she lets Ingrid explore and do really fun things. She doesn't shy away from the messy, and because of that I feel like Ingi has many rich experiences. That's something I want to be better at with Emi!  Emi and Ingi both in their purple pjs Seeing your child make something for you is one of the most heartwarming things ever. I seriously felt like my heart was melting. haha. Emi girl Water table fun. Ingi was making mud to play in. She has so much spunk! I love it. In the evening we went to Hershey Gardens. They have a butterfly atrium and beautiful gardens. It was a lot

Zoo

Today was a zoo day! I've been meaning to take Emi to the zoo for awhile now, so I'm glad we finally had the chance to go. We drove to Lake Tobias and met up with one of Steph's friends and her son. At the zoo they have this cute safari ride you can take to see all the animals in a more-natural environment. It was really hot--Steph had warned us that it's best to go early but Emi and I slept in (oops!)--but a neat experience. After the safari ride we went and walked around the zoo and Emi took a snooze in her stroller. I enjoyed watching how Ingi and her friend, James, were so curious. Safari Ride! I used Dave's sunglasses from the car and after looking at pictures I realized they were not the best look for me haha Aunts with our Ingi Bear After the zoo we stopped to get ice cream, and ended up getting BBQ too. The food was yummy and perfect after a hot day.  In the evening we just chilled and hung out. Honestly that's one of my favorite things when I visit fami

Long Travel Day

Emi and I woke up very early this morning to hop on our flight to Pennsylvania. We flew from Denver to Georgia, and then Georgia to Harrisburg. I am seriously blown away every time I fly alone with Emi how kind and willing to help people are!  Even with all the help...Emi did awful on the flights. It's seriously such a wild card how she'll do. She woke up in the middle of the night last night and could not be consoled. We thought it might be teething, but when she woke up this morning she had a runny nose and it just got progressively worse throughout the day. I think she just wasn't feeling well. At one point she was pulling at her ears--which she usually doesn't do on flights--and so I think it might've been a cold mixed with the change in elevation that had her all out of sorts. Luckily she was able to sleep on our layover, which helped keep me sane and gave me time to decompress. Happy Emi and Mom pre-flights I think this picture accurately describes how Emi fel
